One of the most common amateur golf swing mistakes is “coming over the top.” It’s the classic move that leads to that out of control slice.
In today’s video I’ve got a great drill for you to practice at home or on the range to eliminate “coming over the top” from your swing!
Check it out below:
Remember, coming over the top usually starts with trying to force the club head into the ball…
When you’re in the top position, it “feels” right to pull your hands to the ball… or to use your arms to generate speed and power.
But the proper technique is a much more passive one. You want to feel like the club is dropping (not pulling!) down. Give the drill in the video a try and see if you can’t bring that same feeling to your normal golf swing.
I promise you’ll start to see more consistent results!
